The New Mexico Rangers are the oldest law enforcement augmentation organization in the State.  We provide trained and experienced professionals to work under the Commission of the various counties, cities, and state law enforcement organizations.  This support is provided at no or minimal cost to the agencies the Rangers support.

Rangers receive extensive training and perform all law enforcement operations allowed by the commissioning agency and state law.  These duties include, but are not limited to:
Patrol/Community Policing
DWI Checkpoints
Tactical Plans
Special Events (i.e. Graduations, Crowd Control, Security, etc.)
Law Enforcement Training for Reserve Organizations
